On I-5 just north of the Oregon-California Border, numerous national magazines have named Ashland one of America's great small towns.
Central Point, Well known as the first town in the valley, derived its name from the fact that it is almost in the center of the Rogue Valley (formerly known as the Bear Creek Valley).
Eagle Point has been in existence since gold was first discovered in Jacksonville in 1852.
Gold Hill was founded in the early 1800's by miners looking to make it rich shortly after a large gold nugget was found.
Medford began in 1883 when the railroad came to Southern Oregon. In the fall of 1883, four property owners deeded part of their land to the Oregon and California Railroad for a depot and surrounding town. Before the year was over the unbroken prairie had been surveyed and a town site laid out.
The Phoenix area was settled in about 1850 by brothers Hiram and Samuel Colver. Samuel Colver laid out the town in 1854. It was initially known as Gasburg.
Talent is located in Oregon's beautiful Rogue River Valley, just off Interstate 5.
